Red maple film studio
Tuugaalik is an educational initiative proudly created by Red Maple Film Studio, with support from the Government of Nunavut’s Department of Culture and Heritage. Launched on National Indigenous Languages Day, March 31, 2025, Tuugaalik is dedicated to teaching the Inuktitut language and celebrating Inuit culture with children and youth across Canada and beyond.
Our mission is to share the richness of Inuit history and culture on a global scale, helping people everywhere—especially across Canada—gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of Inuit heritage. Tuugaalik is committed to being accessible to Inuit communities nationwide, creating meaningful spaces for cultural learning, connection, and pride.
We warmly invite Inuit artists, musicians, storytellers, and youth to collaborate with us in creating authentic, community-led content. Together, we produce engaging and high-quality educational materials, including:
• Videos and 2D animations
• Clay animations
• eBooks and printable PDF books
• Worksheets and colouring books for all age groups
At Tuugaalik, we believe language and culture are inseparable. Through creative, community-driven storytelling, we strive to keep Inuit traditions vibrant and thriving for future generations.
